Break-Away Switch Bargman

This Breakaway Switch by Bargman will insure braking on towed vehicle during accidental separation of trailer and towing vehicle. If your trailer parts from the towing vehicle, the lanyard pulls the plastic pin out, closing the electrical circuit to automatically set the trailer brakes. The switch has a sealed, corrosion resistant ABS housing. A trailer breakaway device is required by law in some states. It is for emergency use only, not to be used to lock brakes when parked or stored.
Part #96-8382 is a complete system including the switch, cable, and plastic pin. Part #96-8385 is a replacement cable and pin only.
